A four-handed musical selection by Max P and Cap, performed strictly on vinyl, effortlessly moving from spiritual introspection to jazz standards, from hard bop to electronic music, from Brazil to Africa, from dancefloor grooves to ballads, all connected by a single thread: jazz.
In Max P’s selections, which range from jazz and refined downtempo sounds to the more contemporary shades of techno, listeners can appreciate the strong Black music influence that defines his musical background. His constant exploration and ability to perform in vastly different contexts allow him to create sets that strike a perfect balance between experimentation and pure club music. He is one of the two creative minds behind Tangram (alongside Stefano Tucci), as well as its resident DJ, a long-running event held at the Urban Club in Perugia.
DJ Cap, born Michele Capece, is an avid record collector and passionate lover of Black music. His DJ sets span jazz, soul, and funk, while also embracing more ethnic and global sounds. Over the years, he has collaborated with many of Umbria’s most important festivals and events dedicated to jazz and Black music.
