Matthew Oh is a key figure in the underground electronic music scene, with a career deeply rooted in the warmth of vinyl. He began his journey in 2000, influenced by the house sounds of pioneers such as MAW, DJ Spinna, and Blaze, quickly turning his passion into a professional path.
Since 2006 he has run his own record store and has built a global distribution network that allows him to curate a personal collection of nearly 4,000 vinyl records. This deep connection to the medium led him in 2015 to found Outlaw, a label specializing in dub techno. With 14 releases to date, the label has hosted artists such as Modernism, Gradient, OHM & Octal Industries, and Echologist, becoming a benchmark for sound quality within the genre.
His path as a DJ is marked by key milestones that have shaped his technique and style, including performances at Red Zone Club and Serendipity Club in Umbria, as well as venues like Renate and Goldengate (both in Berlin), symbols of European electronic culture. Today, Matthew Oh continues to develop the Outlaw project, balancing studio research with an increasingly international DJ career, driven by an unwavering dedication to underground sound and vinyl culture.
