Temple Rat

Temple Rat is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer of Chinese origin based in Berlin. Her approach emerges from the fusion of traditional Chinese instrumentation with contemporary electronics, field recordings, and self-built sound design. Classically trained, she draws inspiration from the Berlin underground scene.

She has carved out a unique space in the contemporary landscape through cinematic performances presented at venues such as Berghain, RSO, and Macadam.

Following her acclaimed EP Composition of Air for Siamese Twins Records, her latest work Some Leaves Must Fall 聽其自然 was released this March by Buttheads.
